SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 (SSC CHSL 2026) for recruitment to Group C posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDC/JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’) in various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India, with approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies. Candidates who have passed 12th can apply online at ssc.gov.in from 07/09/2026 to 07/10/2026 (23:00 Hours).

DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Candidates who have appeared in 12th can also apply, but must hold the essential qualification on or before the cut-off date, 07/10/2026.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination): Objective type, multiple choice questions only.
Tier-II (Computer Based Examination): Four sections, including Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test.
Document Verification: Conducted by the User Departments/Ministries after the declaration of the final result.
Marks in multi-shift exams are normalized as per the Commission’s procedure, and the final allotment of posts is made on the basis of merit-cum-preferences given by candidates.

DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (Ministries listed under the Science with Maths requirement): Data entry speed of 15,000 key depressions per hour, 15 minutes.
DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (other Departments): Data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour, 15 minutes.
LDC/JSA Typing Test: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi (medium chosen in the application form), 10 minutes.

Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSC portal, if not already done.
Log in and select the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 application link.
Fill out the online application form carefully, including your post preferences, three exam centres in order of priority, and the Typing Test medium (Hindi or English).
Upload the required photograph and signature as per the specifications.
Pay the application fee online (if applicable) by 08/10/2026 (23:00 Hours).
Submit the application and keep a printout for future reference. Fee-payable candidates should verify the “Payment Status”, as applications with unpaid fees are rejected.
