Gujarat Police Constable Syllabus 2024
The examination shall be held in two successive stages in the following manner, namely:-
- 1st Stage: Physical Test(Qualifying nature)
- 2nd Stage: Objective MCQ Test.
POLICE CONSTABLE CLASS III LEVELS CADRE POSTS
- Police Constable (Unarmed) in the State Police Force.
- Police Constable (Armed) in the State Police Force.
- Police Constable (Armed) in the State Reserve Police Force.
- Sepoy (Male) and Sepoy (Female)/Matron in the subordinate service of the Additional Director General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Administration.
1st Stage: Physical Test (Qualifying nature)
The Physical Test shall comprise of two stages.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):-

| Male | Running 5000 Meters | In 25 minutes |
| Female | Running 1600 meters | In 9.30 minutes |
| Ex-servicemen | Running 2400 meters | In 12 minutes and 30 seconds |
Physical Standard Test (PST):-
- Candidates who pass the Physical Efficiency Test shall have to undergo Physical Standard Test.
- Physical Standard: Height for Male and Female; Chest (only for male)
A. For Male candidates:
2nd Stage: Objective MCQ Test
- Total (Part A + Part B) = 200 MCQ, 200 Marks, 3 Hours (180 Minutes)
PART-A
- 80 Mark; 80 MCQ;
- 40% minimum qualifying standard
- Negative marking 0.25; “E” option

- The Objective MCQ Test shall consist of Multiple Choice Question(MCQ).
- Every question shall be of 1 mark.
- Every attempted question with incorrect answer shall carry a negative mark of 0.25.
- In every question there shall be one option of “Not attempted(Option “E”)”. If the candidate does not intend to answer, he may select this option. If the candidate selects this option, the negative marks shall not be given.
