Pay Scale / Salary Details
Appointed candidates will initially be placed on a fixed stipend basis according to government rules.
- First 5 Years (Fixed Salary): Rs. 26,000/- per month.
- Regular Appointment after 5 Years: Upon satisfactory completion of 5 years of service, candidates will be regularized into the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/-).
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- Successfully completed a minimum 1-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) basic certificate course or Diploma course from an educational institution recognized by the Government.
- OR Passed a minimum 1-year Sanitary Inspector (SI) Diploma Course from a government-recognized institution.
- OR Passed a minimum 1-year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspector from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or any other government-recognized institute.
2. Computer Knowledge & Language Proficiency
- Possess basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Rules. (If a candidate does not have a certificate during application, it must be presented before regular appointment).
- Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
3. Age Limit (As of 31/07/2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 33 years.
- Age Relaxation Benefits:
- Reserved Category Male Candidates: 5 years relaxation (Maximum up to 38 years).
- General Category Male Candidates with Disability: 10 years relaxation (Maximum up to 43 years).
- Reserved Category Male Candidates with Disability: 15 years relaxation (Maximum up to 45 years).
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period rendered + 3 years relaxation.
Application Fee
The examination fee must be paid strictly through online modes (Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, Wallets) on or before 03/08/2026.
- General / Unreserved Category: Rs. 500/- + Transaction Charges.
- Reserved Categories (EWS, SEBC, SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen): Rs. 400/- + Transaction Charges.
- Important Note on Fee Refund: The examination fee will be fully refunded to all candidates who actually appear for the competitive exam. Fees will not be refunded for absent candidates.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The selection will be based on a single-stage objective type MCQ examination (CBRT or OMR method). The question paper will consist of Part-A and Part-B, conducted jointly for a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes).
- Negative Marking: Every incorrect answer will attract a penalty of 1/4 (0.25) marks.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks separately in both Part-A and Part-B to qualify.
