GSRTC Helper Recruitment 2026 (GSRTC હેલ્પર ભરતી 2026): The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), Ahmedabad has invited online applications for 2,510 posts of Helper under direct recruitment (fixed pay), to prepare the selection list and waiting list. Candidates who have passed a one-year ITI course in a listed trade (such as Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician, Welder) and are aged 18 to 35 years can apply on the OJAS website. The fixed pay is ₹21,100 per month for 5 years. The online application window is from 07/09/2026 to 06/10/2026 (23:59 hrs) and the fee can be paid up to 08/10/2026. Out of the total 2,510 posts, 502 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen and 52 posts for Persons with Disabilities. Divyang posts: 13 each for categories A (B, LV), B (D, HH), C and D & E, as per the notification. The number of posts may increase or decrease.

Age relaxation: General women 5 years; all reserved male candidates 5 years; all reserved women 10 years; General disabled male 10 years and disabled women 15 years; reserved disabled male 15 years and reserved disabled women 20 years. The maximum age after all relaxations cannot exceed 45 years.
Educational Qualification
Pass of at least a one-year course in one of these Government-recognised ITI trades: Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Auto Body Repairer, Welder, Welder cum Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter (General) or Auto Mobile Paint Repairer.
Preference: Apprenticeship completed in the same trade as ITI in a Government/semi-Government/public sector or limited company, with the NCVT certificate and marksheet. This gives 10% weightage (10 marks).
Basic knowledge of computer, with a certificate or marksheet as per the Gujarat Government resolution.
Candidate must have clear eyesight (good vision).
Nationality
Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or other categories mentioned in the notification (eligibility certificate required).

A merit list is prepared on the weightage, and candidates are called for document verification in the ratio of 1.5 candidates per post.
The 10 marks for Apprenticeship are given only if the certificate in the same trade is shown at document verification.
Extra marks: 5% of exam marks for widow candidates and 5% for sportspersons of the notified levels, subject to certificates.
Selected candidates can be posted in any division or depot of GSRTC.

How to Apply for GSRTC Helper Recruitment 2026
Visit the OJAS website ojas.gujarat.gov.in and read the GSRTC Helper advertisement carefully.
Click on Apply Online and fill in the application form with correct details as per your certificates.
Upload your own photo (about 10 KB, 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width) and signature (about 10 KB, 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width) in JPG format.
Enter a working mobile number and e-mail ID, and keep them until the end of the recruitment process.
Pay the Combined Exam Process Fee online through the payment gateway.
Submit the form and take a printout of the application.
Important Instructions
If more than one application is submitted, only the last application with the fee paid will be considered.
Name, date of birth, category and other details must match your certificates. The date of birth must be as per the SSC certificate or school leaving certificate.
Certificates (ITI, apprenticeship, caste, non-creamy layer, EWS) must be obtained on or before 06/10/2026.
Reserved category candidates need a valid caste/non-creamy layer/EWS certificate, details of which are entered in the online form.
Candidates must bring a valid photo ID and the original call letter for the exam.
