Indian Army TGC-145 Recruitment 2026 (ભારતીય સેના TGC-145 ભરતી 2026): The Indian Army has invited online applications from eligible unmarried male engineering graduates for the 145th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-145), starting July 2027 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, for Permanent Commission as Lieutenant. There are 30 tentative vacancies across Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and miscellaneous engineering streams. Candidates must be 20 to 27 years old as on 01 July 2027. Indian Army TGC 145 Vacancy 2026 – Engineering Stream-wise Vacancies

Only the engineering streams and acceptable equivalent (AICTE approved) streams listed in the notification are valid. The stream name on the degree certificate or marksheet must match the stream chosen in the online application, otherwise the candidature is cancelled. Vacancies are tentative.

Indian Army TGC-145 Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or specified East African countries and Vietnam to settle permanently in India (a certificate of eligibility is required for the last two categories, except Gorkha subjects of Nepal).

Age Limit

Only the date of birth on the Matriculation/Secondary School certificate is accepted.

Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech in the notified engineering streams, or M.Sc Computer Science.
• Final year engineering students can apply. They must submit proof of passing the degree with all semester/year marksheets by 01 July 2027, and the degree certificate within 12 weeks of the start of training at IMA.
• Final year candidates whose final semester result is declared after 01 July 2027 are not eligible.
• Candidates with a degree from a foreign country are not eligible.
• Candidates withdrawn, dismissed or invalided out of any defence training academy are not eligible.

Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates can apply. Candidates cannot marry during training.

Indian Army TGC Salary 2026 – Stipend, Pay and Allowances

Dearness Allowance, field area and other allowances are also admissible as per rules. Promotion to Captain is after 2 years and to Major after 6 years of reckonable commissioned service.

Indian Army TGC 145 Selection Process – SSB Interview

1. Shortlisting: applications are shortlisted stream-wise on the cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year, against the cut-off.
2. SSB centre and date: shortlisted candidates log in and choose SSB dates and centres on a first-come, first-served basis. The choice cannot be changed later.
3. SSB Interview: held at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar, in two stages, for up to five days. Candidates who fail Stage-1 are sent back the same day.
4. Medical Examination for candidates recommended after Stage-2.
5. Merit List: prepared stream-wise on SSB marks. Joining letters are issued within the vacancies and subject to medical fitness.

How to Apply for Indian Army TGC-145 Recruitment 2026

1. Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Click on Officer Entry Apply/Login and then Registration (not needed if already registered). Aadhaar number and Matriculation certificate are mandatory for registration.
3. After registration, click Apply Online under the Dashboard, and then Apply against Technical Graduate Course.
4. Fill in the personal information, communication, education and previous SSB details. Click Save & Continue after each section.
5. Check the summary page and click Submit.
6. Take two printouts of the application with roll number, 30 minutes after the final closure on the last day.

Important Instructions

• Name, parents names and date of birth must match the Matriculation/Secondary certificate. Any difference can cancel the candidature.
• Convert CGPA/grades into marks as per your university formula.
• No change in the application is possible after the closing date.
• If a name difference exists in documents, an affidavit is required.
• If withdrawn from training for personal reasons, the cost of training (tentatively ₹20,481.96 per week) is recoverable.

Documents to Carry for SSB

Carry self-attested copies along with the originals. DigiLocker copies are not accepted in place of original certificates.

• 12th class marksheet and certificate (or diploma)
• Engineering degree or provisional degree (not older than six months at joining)
• Marksheets of all semesters/years
