GSSSB CCE Mains Syllabus 2026 (ગૌણ સેવા CCE મુખ્ય પરીક્ષા અભ્યાસક્રમ): The Gujarat Government has published the scheme and detailed syllabus of the Main Examination for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) posts in the Gujarat Government Gazette dated 22-01-2026 (Appendix-G and Appendix-H). For Group-A posts the main exam has three descriptive papers: Gujarati Language Skill (100 marks), English Language Skill (100 marks) and General Studies (150 marks), a total of 350 marks, each of 3 hours. For Group-B posts there is one objective paper of 200 marks and 2 hours with negative marking of 0.25. Read on for the paper-wise syllabus, marks distribution and important notes.

  • The standard of the Gujarati paper is equal to the Gujarati subject (higher level) of Std-12 of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
  • The standard of the English paper is equal to the English subject (higher level) of Std-12 of the same Board.
  • All question papers of the main exam for Group-A are of descriptive type.
  • Persons with disability may be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of each paper.

  • Questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 1 mark each, and the candidate has to attempt all questions.
  • The medium is Gujarati for all topics except English.
  • Each attempted question with an incorrect answer carries a negative mark of 0.25.
  • Every question has one option, “Not attempted”. If the candidate selects it, no negative marks are given. If no option is selected at all, a negative mark of 0.25 applies.
  • Persons with disability may be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of each paper.
  • The detailed syllabus of each topic is as prescribed and notified by the Board.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • The Group-B note in the document refers to an “objective type Preliminary Examination” while the heading says Main Examination. Please read the official gazette PDF below for the exact wording.
