PGVCL Vidyut Sahayak Recruitment 2026: Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) has officially released a recruitment notification for the posts of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) on its official website. This centralized special recruitment drive is being conducted on behalf of all GUVNL DISCOMs exclusively for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official portal from 17/07/2026 to 06/08/2026.

PGVCL Vidyut Sahayak Recruitment 2026 Overview

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed initially for a fixed tenure of three (03) years as Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant).

• Fixed Remuneration:
  • 1st Year: Rs. 22,750/- per month
  • 2nd Year: Rs. 24,700/- per month
  • 3rd Year: Rs. 26,650/- per month
• Scope of Career Development: Upon satisfactory completion of three years, candidates may be considered for regular establishment as a Junior Assistant in the pay scale of Rs. 25,000 – 55,800.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.C.A., or B.B.A.) through Regular, External, or Open/Distance Learning Mode from a recognized university approved by UGC/AICTE.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum average of 55% marks in the last year or last two semesters of graduation.
• Candidates must possess knowledge of computer operations and have a good command over both English and Gujarati languages.

2. Age Limit (As of 07/07/2026)

• Maximum Age: 45 Years (Maximum age limit after all applicable relaxations).
• Note: Maximum age limit will not be applicable to departmental candidates.

3. Disability Norms

• Only candidates with a minimum of 40% benchmark disability are eligible to apply under the PwBD quota.
• Suitable categories: Low Vision (LV), Hard of Hearing (HH), One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), Dwarfism (D), Leprosy Cured (LC), Acid Attack Victim (AAV), Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Spinal Injury (SI), and Spinal Deformity (SD).

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The selection process consists of a multi-tiered examination pattern involving an online or offline 1st Tier Exam and a 2nd Tier Exam. There is a negative marking system where 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

1. First Tier Examination (Objective, Qualifying Marks: 45)

• Candidates who score 45 and above marks shall be eligible to appear for the Second Tier examination.
• The question paper will be in both Gujarati & English languages.

2. Second Tier Examination (Objective – For Final Merit)

• The final ranking and selection list will be drawn purely on the basis of the marks obtained in this Second Tier examination.
• The minimum cut-off marks for final selection is 45 and above marks.

Participating DISCOMs & Vacancy Details

A total of 236 vacancies have been announced across the participating power distribution companies under GUVNL. A minimum of 85% representation in selection is reserved for local residents of Gujarat State.

Application Processing Fee

The fee must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking (Non-refundable):

• All Eligible PwBD Candidates: Rs. 250/- (inclusive of GST)

Document Specification for Upload

Candidates will be required to submit soft copies or show self-attested original documents for verification at the appropriate stage:

• Application Form: Online application form printout with two recent passport size photographs.
• Identity Proof: Valid original identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, etc.).
• Educational Proof: School Leaving Certificate, Degree Certificate, and final year/semester mark-sheets.
• Disability Proof: Valid Disability Certificate issued by a Civil Surgeon or designated Government authority.
• Category Proof: Valid Caste Certificate (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate or EWS certificate where applicable, and a valid Domicile Certificate of Gujarat State.
